Yang Mi – Four Dan Actress Receives a Dubai Star

Yang Mi was born on September 12, 1986, in the Xuanwu District of Beijing. Mi began to slowly accumulate acting credits starting at the age of four when she first appeared on-screen as Princess Xianning in the popular TV series, Tang Ming Huang. Yang Mi realised her love for the craft and enrolled in the Performance Institute at Beijing Film Academy after completing middle school. This early dedication to her career secured Yang Mi consistent acting work throughout the first decade of the 2000s. However, the Chinese superstar's big break came after her performance in the successful Drama, Palace, in 2011. This role propelled the actress into countless award-winning projects, such as Mysterious Island, Beijing Love Story and Eternal Love. Yang Mi's critically acclaimed performances gained her international praise when she won the 50th WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival's Best Actress award for her work on Reset, a film produced by Jackie Chan.
