Born in Hong Kong on June 22, 1962, Stephen Chow Sing Chi is a Hong Kong actor, film director, producer and martial artist. It was Bruce Lee’s The Big Boss that set the ball rolling for young Stephen, inspiring him to learn martial arts, which led him to his first TV appearance, and eventually, a role in in the film Final Justice in 1988, winning him his first award for Best Supporting Actor. It didn’t take long for him to shoot to stardom, even starring in Hong Kong’s top-grossing film of all time. In 2001 he took up directing. He went on to win a Blue Ribbon Award, Best Director at the Taiwan Golden Horse Awards, as well as 20 international awards, becoming an international sensation and scoring him the position as 9th top-grossing Hollywood director of 2016.
