Born January 7th, 1985 and raised in Hertfordshire, Lewis Carl Hamilton was already a racing prodigy before his teen years. His interest in racing started early at the age of 6, after his father bought him a radio-controlled car. He quickly went on to become a British go-kart phenomenon, winning the British Kart Championship at 10 years old, a feat that got him signed with the McLaren and Mercedes-Benz Young Driver Support Programme. What followed was a string of wins and records: after becoming the youngest driver to be ranked number one in world karting championships, Lewis advanced to cars in no time. He participated in multiple world-renowned events, from the British Formula Renault race series championship, all the way through to the McLaren F1 team and now the Mercedes-Benz F1 team. Hamilton dominated the racing track and won back to back titles from 2014 to 2018.
